Correct disciplinary procedures are vital for maintaining workplace order, ensuring fairness, and protecting employers from legal risks like unfair dismissal claims. 

By providing a structured, consistent approach to addressing misconduct or poor performance, these procedures boost employee morale, clarifies expectations and fosters a transparent, trusting environment. 

CTL is offering a one day disciplinary training course which is aimed at upskilling managers/supervisors and has as its aim, to ensure that managers/supervisors can successfully navigate day to day disciplinary matters.

The course can be held at your premises, dependant on numbers, or participants can join a larger group for a great all round experience

The course will ensure that learners can

•   List the types of offences that would lead to a disciplinary hearing.

•    Prepare, investigate and formulate the appropriate charges for a disciplinary hearing.

•    Explain the role of the initiator and chairperson at a disciplinary hearing and how to present charges or chair enquiries

•   List the steps and procedures that should be followed during a disciplinary hearing.

•   Explain what mitigating and aggravating circumstances should be considered in any disciplinary finding.

  • Issuing of warnings
  • Dealing with disciplinary issues in general.
  • There will be practical exercises which will allow the participants to deal with specific situations.
  • There will be Q and A session which will provide examples of pitfalls and common issues experienced.
  • The course is very practical in nature
