EXTENSION OF BARGAINING COUNCIL: FAST FOOD, RESTAURANT, CATERING AND ALLIED TRADES TO NON-PARTIES

The Bargaining Council for the Food Retail, Restaurant, Catering & Allied Trades previously known as the Bargaining Council for the Tearoom, Restaurant & Catering Trade, Pretoria, has been registered since September 1941. 

Their primary function is to regulate relations between management and labour and to settle disputes between parties. 

The main agreement will amongst other things regulate wages, working hours, commission, leave, and night work to mention a few.

The period of operation of the Main Collective Agreement in relation to non-parties has been extended. The operation of the Main Collective Agreement was extended to non-parties through Government Notices R. 1756 of 11 February 2022 and R. 3068 of 21 February 2023 for the period ending on 28 February 2024.

This notice further extends the period of operation of the Main Collective Agreement 23 February 2024 for the period ending on 28 February 2025.
