LABOUR COURT JUDGE

 PROUD DAY

APPOINTED AS ACTING JUDGE OF THE LABOUR COURT.

It is a great honour is to stand on the shoulders of giants and to take what is nothing short of a momentous step in my legal career.

Today I was formally sworn in as an Acting Judge of The Labour Court and to have such oath administered by the Judge President of the Labour Court and Labour Appeal Court namely Justice Mogomotsi Edwin Molahlehi was a privilege beyond words.

I could not have achieved this step without the friendship and guidance of colleagues, friends and family.

I remember my varsity days and the late and all night study sessions with Neil Van Vuuren (a brilliant legal mind), Nicci Brunner Van Vuuren (so wise, astute and knowledgeable) and Nicci Hayes (I wish I knew where she ended up) to the constant love and support from my mentors Chris Ledden and Jo Ledden ( I cannot thank you enough – EVER) and the constant unfaltering love and support from Linda Ledden (you make me a smile every day) .

The PLT days with Lexi Buden (she has heart of gold) and all the advocates and fellow attorneys who have always been there for me (to many to mention). My beloved children Connor, Tullough, Leith and Fifi (Connor F) who love knows no bounds. My gratitude knows no limits for what you all mean to me.

I quote an excerpt from my oath– I promise to uphold and protect the Constitution of the Republic and the fundamental rights therein and to administer justice to all without fear, favour or prejudice.

My wish is that I never stop learning, that I shall never stop loving the law and that I will always strive to be the best jurist I can be.
